What is a good coffee shop for a work meeting near Union Sq. San Francisco?

Asked by emilyrose (2272points) March 8th, 2011

I’m meeting with two colleagues and want a comfortable place for a coffee/work meeting. They are staying at a hotel in Union Square so I want it to be convenient for them. We may get something small to eat, but likely not, so I don’t want to go to a restaurant that expects us to order meals.

Cafe de la Presse at Bush and Grant streets is three quick blocks from the north east corner of Union Square. If they are staying at the Hyatt or the Campton, they’ll be even closer. It has food available but not required.

And of course there are lots of Starbucks around.

Cafe de la Presse is good but there’s an amazing local shop on Larkin and California. It’s about a ten minute walk from Union Square but totally worth it. Check them out!
