Can someone recommend a good book to learn C# from?

Asked by bomyne (639points) April 6th, 2011

I’m attempting to learn C# and I would like a good print book to learn from (As a print book is easier then a ebook or website, for me).

I’m not an advanced programer as I only have experience with Visual Basic .Net and PHP.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Believe it or not, there is a Dummies Guide to C#, which I found quite straightforward and helpful…

Since you have experience with VB .net, it should not be that difficult to pick up C#. You may find this article to be helpful.

@bomyne That’s certainly the series – my book had a slightly different title, but it was a few years ago and these things are always being updated. (mine was also in the UK).
