How does my brain recognize my emotion?

Asked by TheWorldIsConfusing (2points) April 10th, 2011

I was doing my assignment about emotion and brain, when suddenly I realized that I was confused. Does the brain have special circuits which are made special for every single emotion? How could the brain differentiate every single emotion then?

It is the opinion of many that the brain creates emotions, depending on hormones and other factors.

Emotions are complex physiological and psychological processes and there is still a lot of mystery surrounding them… but it could be argued that they are solely embedded in biological networks of neurons, chemicals etc… but how you recognise them… well that’s a whole other ball game…sometimes we don’t even recognise what emotions we are experiencing…
