What films do you pick each day for movie week?

Asked by Vunessuh (16727points) May 13th, 2011

Inspired by Blondesjon’s question.

You are hosting movie week and you’re responsible for the film that will be watched each evening.

You must stick to the schedule:

Sunday: A drama
Monday: A comedy
Tuesday: A horror/mystery or psychological thriller
Wednesday: An animated feature film
Thursday: A musical or romance
Friday: An Oscar winner
Saturday: A documentary

Which movies do you choose?

Let’s see here…haha it’s funny you use Sunday as drama movie day. When I was younger one of the channels in Winnipeg always played some crime/drama made for TV movie, and I often watched them.

So…

Sunday; An Eye for an Eye. Some psycho fucker kills a young girl, and the mother seeks to have her vengeance against him.

Monday; UHF. Weird Al is Conan the Librarian. Nuff said. Plus Vunessuh, spatula city!

Tuesday; Cookers. Freaky dead dudes checking you out through doorways, some hairy guy with a gun and a bunch of apparitions and windows that won’t close. And drugs.

Wednesday; If Corpse Bride counts, I use that. If not, Ninja scroll. Either way, dead people or ninjas, you can’t go wrong.

Thursday; Bram Stoker’s Dracula Love Never Dies. That totally is a love story.

Friday; Silence of the Lambs.

Saturday; Vampire Secrets is a documentary about vampires, but it’s kind of lame and funny. Perfect for a Saturday! They even have vampire communities as their grand finale. Haha.

@HungryGuy Splice is a shitty movie. Don’t even waste your time on it.

Berserker's avatar

@KatetheGreat Really? My roomie totally wants me to see this.

KateTheGreat's avatar

@Symbeline I thought it was the dumbest movie I have ever seen. It was fucking odd, but not the good odd.

HungryGuy's avatar

@KatetheGreat – Really? Bummer! Well, I bought it, so I might as well watch it… (It was one of those movies that Amazon recommends: “You bought The Human Centipede so you might like these…”)

KateTheGreat's avatar

@HungryGuy I fucking loved The Human Centipede. That was a fantastic movie.

HungryGuy's avatar

@KatetheGreat – Yeah! Just don’t watch it after you’ve eaten anything (if you saw it, you know why)...

KateTheGreat's avatar

@HungryGuy Heh. I was eating WHILE watching it.

@Symbeline I did see the second one. I think it was only not as scary, because you sort of knew what to expect, or rather not to expect. I liked the family a little bit better in # 2, though. That woman in the first one was a pain in the neck and her boyfriend was kind of mean.

The funniest scary part had to do with the swimming pool filter. First I screamed and then I laughed.

When I saw the first one, people would shriek, and then you’d hear people start to giggle and then mumble to themselves things like, “OMG!” or “I think I just wet myself” or “I’m sorry I hit you, baby” or “Why don’t they run!?” I practically dug a hole in my friend’s leg with my fingernails because I kept grabbing her and shrieking. And then I’d laugh, because I couldn’t believe that I actually jumped out of my seat and yelled. It was so scary.

@Kardamom Ha yeah, the couple in the first one…what a riot. You’re so right haha. The girl was so…annoying and bitchy but the dude was just an ass. I love that one time, when he’s calling out to the evil force all like, I’ll kick your ass! Yeah whatever dude lol. They were a cute couple. That was mean though, when he told her to go hang out with her demon friend. :/
You know what really scared me in the first one? When you saw the girl just…standing there at night, for hours on end. GOD. Fuckin creepy lol. The alternate endings were pretty neat, too.
You should rent it and check them out. And yeah, I believe you when you say you jumped and yelled. Creepy movie.

Number two had its moments, usually what you saw on film. I kept just sitting there, on the edge of my seat, thinking something creepy would happen. it barely ever did, but somehow, my imagination appreciated it anyway.

Also…for anyone who did see the first Paranormal Activity…can anyone…ANYONE tell me what the Devil is up with the end credits????
