Sometimes, but not often.

I had a few dreams that were stretched and interpreted in a way that could have been a warning but it could have been all coincidence. I really don’t know.

My dreams do. My grandmother, great grandmother, an aunt all came to me in dreams the nights they died. Nothing nightmarish about it. They were all happy. Their death certificates were estimated at times within the time frame that I awoke from the dreams.

I have many warning dreams. They are always vague in the sense that information is gleaned in pure imagery, without words. Just two nights ago, I dreamt that my cell phone screen was scratched. That next day I scratched the lcd on the back of my digital camera. I always have dreams about old friends who call me the next day or so. No reason I should have those dreams at all. A few nights ago I dreamt that I was protecting my children from an attacking bear. The next day there was family trouble involving the kids.

Happens to me all the time. Just don’t think it has to be exactly like the real life result. The imagery of a dream reveals the deeper emotional struggle, rather than acting like a video tape of the events to come.

I think certain people who are in touch with their intuition may have dreams that foretell the future. I personally have never had this happen, but I truly believe that some people do. I don’t think all of these dreams are warnings, though.

Absolutely! I have had several dreams that foretold of the near future but not all of my dreams id say do this. It seems to only be very impactful events that i’m “warned” about you could say. My first memory of this was when i was a young teen I was sleeping over a friends house and had and extremely realistic dream that I was in BIG trouble with my mom. Shortly after I woke up I got a phone call from my mom and I had to go home right away. Come to find out she had gone through all of my emails, diaries and personal stuff and I was in very BIG trouble. Ever since then I paid much closer attention to my dreams.

I hope you paid very close attention to keeping your shit private too. She went through your diaries @abysmalbeauty? How rude!

Oh I sure did, I’m very secretive now… Sometimes not to my benefit sadly

I dream a lot about zombies. At least I used to. Now that I’m an alcoholic, my nights are as black as black can be. Perhaps those dreams were meant to warn a terrible downfall, an entry into an existence that isn’t really living, like a zombie. They need flesh, I need beer.

I would ordinarily attribute these frequent zombie dreams to my passion of zombies and zombie films, but if I had to guess at some deeper meaning/warning…and in this case, if dreams mean shit besides being a screensaver for your brain as you sleep, it is personal, rather than universal. I base this on the fact that a lot of my most impacting dreams have always occurred after something hardcore has happened to me.

Of course, such a ’‘belief’’ may only be attributed to the idea that it’s a lot easier to think about yourself, and therefore interpret shit in such a manner, rather than for anyone or anything else.

I strongly believe that dreams can mean something. Also it can tell you something even if isn’t clear. Sometimes dreams are just odd and you think it’s just one of those weird dreams. I think there is more to it, like maybe a meaning hidden behind it. We just have to look closely and think about it.

One of my dream that I had, was that my brother was jumping on me, yelling at me, and then he started to become a werewolf. I woke up scared but confused, because how can my brother be a werewolf? After a while I thought about my dream and thought maybe he was holding in something in that he wanted to talk about. So I sat with him and talk good long hours about himself. After we were finished he said he felt better letting it out since it was bothering him for a while. I think that’s what my dream was telling me.

Some other days my dream was clear as a day. I have many dreams where they will come true and it felt like I was seeing the future. It never would last long, it would always be little parts that I’ll see almost like a preview for new movies. But after a while I get used to it, and when I get a dream I’ll wake up the next morning thinking about it for a while. If I figure it out, I’ll do something about it, and if I don’t figure it out I just put it aside for awhile.
