New Facebook layout question: Is there a way to display birthdays on the homepage?

Asked by Seelix (14952points) September 23rd, 2011

Since they’ve changed the layout, my friends’ birthdays don’t show up on my homepage anymore. They used to be listed on the right hand side, but now all I see is a link to Events.

Does anyone know whether there’s a setting or something that I can change to easily see whose birthday it is?

I just got on Facebook a minute ago, and the layout has changed again. They made it easier to get to the most recent stories, gave the option of turning off notifications for close friends, and now birthdays show right above the link to my events. I didn’t do anything to get it that way, so I’m pretty sure they just adjusted it so we would be able to see them. Perhaps you should look again?

Thanks, @bobbinhood. I just noticed that my birthdays are showing up like they should. :)

Yup, they disappeared for a moment for me too. Now it’s almost disturbingly easy to write happy birthday comments.

If you have this problem again, you can click on Events under Favorites on the left side of your homepage and on the next screen, there’ll be a birthdays link on the bottom.

I am still not seeing the birthdays of my friends…..starting to frustrate me….any answers? I want to see them without going to the events section. It would be great if they were visible where they previously were in the right hand corner.
