Other than cursors, what would not be included in a screenshot?

Asked by flo (13313points) December 20th, 2011

I am not sure that it is a fact that cursors can’t be included. I just tried to take a screenshot of a page with a particular cursor and some of the other cursors, and the act of pressing the Print Screen key makes the cursors blink, for the amount of time it is pressed. I look at the screenshots, no cursors. So, what other image/s would not be included in a screenshot? Or is there a way of ensuring that all images get included.

Never mind, it can’t be that they can’t be included in the screenshot, since we have seen them in books in google images etc. But why is it not being included in the screenshot I’m taking?

@flo You might try a screen recording program like HyperCam that would capture everything, including cursor movements and behavior. I don’t get on windows PCs much anymore so I’m not sure why you’re not getting the cursor in your screenshots. I don’t remember what the settings are. I’m sure there’s a way to do it.

Cursors can be included in screenshots. Depends on the program I guess.

If you are screen-shotting Flash it doesn’t always work for me.
