Reading more, dream bigger?

Asked by jazmina88 (11652points) January 29th, 2012

I have rekindled my love of reading the last 3 weeks or so and find I am dreaming, like a book, turning a page to get up and go to the bathroom and coming back to continue.
Do you think the brain responds to reading and thus influences dream state?

Or is it the new age of 2012, waking up my old foggy mind?

Reading is certainly a factor. It stimulates the mind a little differently than just walking about. For the most part, your focus is solely on the book which could mean it is a more concentrated stimulus.

I would be interested in reading someone’s dream journal/book based off various variables such as this. I think there are a lot of subtle nuances in our daily routines that enhance or can be used to predict the sort of dreams we will have.

now remembering details of dreams can be hard…you snap right back into reality before you know it.

I remember about half of my dreams…....Thanks for answering!

BTW, I’m reading G G Marquez and some Kingsolver.
