OK. Needless to say, I won’t be doing anything out of the ordinary.

My brother-in-law, whom my sister keeps on a short leash, and I are going up to my grandparents’ cabin to clean up mouse shit so that it will be ready for her and my niece and nephew (and the rest of us fortunate folks) to sojourn up there on the 4th of July. I’m amused at the fact that we are my sister’s Huckleberry Finn and oddly grateful for it given that he hasn’t been given a kitchen pass in the past two years since they’ve started having children.

I’ve been thinking of seeing Hollister or Gilroy,CA

Gilroy is the garlic capital of the world but I believe you’ll be a bit early for their festival (If I recall correctly, it is in July).
My girlfriend has to work so we’ll be staying home. But, a few days later, we’ll be seeing R.E.M. and Modest Mouse at the Hollywood Bowl, front row box and front door reserved/valet parking!

I might go see NVOldGuy so he can watch his “mooning” granddaughter and I can gamble. Sweet, huh dad?
