Is there a way to keep my Macbook Pro from shutting down automatically?

Asked by whitecarnations (1638points) March 21st, 2012

When I’m uploading or downloading my computer will still sleep during no activity in a certain amount of minutes. How do I stop this? Thanks!

Click on the blue apple and go into system preferences. From there go into energy saver and set it to where you want it. But remember it is a good idea to keep it set to go to sleep after a reasonable period of time when you are not downloading, in order to preserve energy consumption.

You could also download Caffeine from the app store. Just turn it on and it will prevent your computer from dimming or going to sleep.
