Can I read the private messages that I've sent to my fellow Flutherites?

Asked by SadieMartinPaul (9027points) January 17th, 2013

When I go to My Account and look at my messages, I see only the messages that I’ve received from other people. How can I read messages that I’ve sent?

I won’t be surprised if the answer is obvious. I don’t even try to hide the fact that I’m technology-challenged.

If you click on “Reply”, they will reveal themselves. You needn’t actually reply after seeing them.

Yes, click on reply then hit the last 46 messages and you’ll get all of the recent traffic.

If you don’t have a recent PM from the person, and want to see all the messages between you, you can type this in the URL bar at the top of your browser: http://www.fluther.com/messages/username/ (replace “username” with the person’s actual username). That’ll do the trick. :)

@augustlan Oh. And here I thought that private meant everyone but me could see them. All this time I’ve been using them to keep messages secret from myself.

I can typo with the best of ‘em ^ and miss the time allotted to edit. Lisa: how much time do we get to edit? @augustlan?

I think it’s 5 minutes, @zensky.
