Is it possible to slow down a YouTube video?

Asked by 2davidc8 (10189points) May 10th, 2013

Sometimes I’d like to view something in slo-mo on YouTube. Frame-by-frame advance would be even better! Is this possible?

You need to download it and use video editing software.

Pretty much. However some players can play at various speeds, including frame-by-frame. I favour Media Player Classic:Home Cinema.

You still need to download the video though…

OK, thanks, @XOIIO and @jerv. Pardon my ignorance, but how do you download a YouTube video?

I use Firefox, and there are Firefox add-ons that allow you to download YouTube videos with a couple of clicks.

You can also use keepvid.com

OK, @jerv and @XOIIO, I’ll try those. Thanks for your help.
