Why aren't my text messages sending out?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) May 29th, 2013

I have Sprint and a Rumor Touch.

I know I should call them but I thought I’d ask here first.

I’ve texted this person many times before and each time they’ve received my texts but for the past three or four days I have not been able to send any out to them. But they can still send ME texts.

Any reason why my texts aren’t sending out? In the beginning it said “Error 9230. Destination email address is not in the correct format.”? What does this mean?
I’m pretty I wasn’t sending an email to them. I also went online to my account to make sure I hadn’t blocked any texts.
Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Contact Sprint ( I think that is your provider ).
But first shutoff phone and remove battery. Then try to send again.

Make sure all your phone addresses are ten digit number with area code.

Sometimes my phone played tricks on me I have a Samsung. And some how I figured out that turning the airplane mode on and back off affected my text sending ability. Also sometimes when I used the “Swype” feature on my phone some people got messages that were just random words and I would get a text message back saying “huh, did you mean to say this?” I don’t have any examples right now because I erased my entire phone back to factory settings, but some were Ellen worthy! LOL! Maybe you need to do the same? Also a possible anti virus on your phone.

I can help you to fix this problem. No matter it’s not a big issue I want to tell you that perhaps in your message settings message centre number gone wrong so you can’t send any text to that guy. So, kindly get that number from service provider or fix this problem easily.
