Deleted Scenes?

Do you ever feel disappointed when a post is moderated before you had a chance to read it? Mods, do you ever feel sad deleting posts?
I’m not questioning the need to moderate in general…but am I right in assuming that some “deleted scenes” of Fluther would be a lot of fun to read? Are they archived somewhere?
This question was inspired by @Bellatrix ’ post on another thread : ”[...] while laughing at the responses I now have to remove, please remember this is in General.”

I don’t miss what I don’t see on Fluther because I see so much that I like.
It sometimes makes me curious as to what they said. This one just struck my attention. Mods can see moderated responses. I think I remember seeing some of the CIA thread before it got modded (and may have even posted in it!), but I can’t remember in-depth of what it was like.
Both deleted answers (on the two questions linked above) were mine.
To the question “How do I muffle the sound of my mouse!” – I wrote, “Small gag”.
And then, as a call back, to the question, “What is a kitchen mallet used for?” – I wrote, “To muffle the sound of your mouse.”
Just having a bit of fun. I think dear @Bellatrix would have spanked me had we been on the same side of the world.
@cookieman I’m glad you had a chance to repeat those – they gave me a laugh. :)
The ones marked ‘Off Topic’ are a little annoying, because it’s probably ucme or someone joking around, no big deal.
I often laugh at some of the funny comments I have to remove. Sometimes I give a GA before I remove it! As far as personal attacks and spam go, though, I am only too happy to remove them. :)
What the…I plead the 5th, or is it 4th?
@ucme 5th, you don’t have to testify against yourself…lol
See if that was removed, I’d have missed a good chuckle!
I admit I would kind of like to see moderated comments sometimes, only in an “oh no he DIDN’T” kind of way.
Here is the CIA thread… only 1140 responses :P
I don’t mind my BS posts getting modded especially when I see that I got a GA from the mod who removed it, at least I made someone laugh even if it didn’t get to hang around.
@KNOWITALL Actually, indeed i’ll go further…factually, I very rarely answer in General & when I do I stick to the guidelines. Seems extremely churlish to wander off topic or muck about in a section that specifically states otherwise.
So whenever you see something removed in General it’s very likely not one of mine, i’m a good boy I am :)
@bookish1 Haha yeah, me too. I’m not disappointed when I miss out on a modded answer, per se…but I am always curious.
@ucme Ah ha, so you do follow rules!!
I never flag anything anymore, even if it really should be, I just don’t care enough to ‘tell’ on someone I guess.
@KNOWITALL Rules are for fools, but when it’s just plain rudeness, then there’s nothing in it for me, too easy.
I liked it before general and social, but I’m now at the point where staring into the cold, mirthless eyes of a general question I often say to hell with it and post something silly, accepting that it will ultimately be excised.
I remember when the “offenders” name was kept on screen, talk about named & shamed…bring that shit back, if only for the lulz.

Response Moderated (coz he’s a cocky cunt)
Well, see? I would have missed @cookieman‘s answers.
Can’t some eager jelly archive all those posts…please? Yeah, no personal attacks, of course.
Also: I wish I’d been around for the CIA thread. Crestfallen now…
^^Yep & still no hint of a comeback to the “good ol days”...still, never mind, worth a try.
The question What makes rice krispies snap crackle and pop?
My answer was “Milk boarding”.
Yes it was in General. Yes, they were probably right for deleting it, but I still love that answer.
@longgone To the best of my knowledge (someone correct me if I’m wrong), the CIA thread was all comical. The majority of the posts were similar to the one @eambos had, where the ending is cut off with something like [Removed by Fluther Moderators] or [Redacted].
@dxs Thanks, that makes me feel better! But I still want that book of deleted posts. I’d buy it.
Somebody should start a game thread where the first person writes some normal sentence or question, then underneath their statement (still written by the first person) they write [Response Moderated].
Then the next person writes in some funny statement as to what they think the moderated statement could have been.
The next person writes a new normal sounding question or statement and puts [Response Moderated] under his statement. And so on and so forth.
Some people would just be writing regular statements and questions, while others would be providing silly responses.
@Kardamom: We’re waiting on you to start our new Fluther game ;)
Simmer down, you all know I don’t start things : P
@Kardamom It’ll be your first Fluther question. Nothing wrong with that.
…and it would be a great one!!
No no no no no no no, ain’t gonna happen : )
@Kardamom Do you want me to do it? I won’t forget to credit you.
@Kardamom: What, did you take a vow never to ask a question on Fluther??
@Kardamom I promise nothing is going to jump out at you if you ask a question. I’ve done it a few times, and it’s safe.
Sometimes, if the post is funny (or I agree with the premise!) I do regret having to remove them. @cookieman‘s posts were funny. They were in General though and I try to be consistent and fair.
@cookieman – be careful what you wish for. I’m heading your way in a few weeks. I could always ask the boss if I can borrow her whip…
@Kardamom, the game idea sounds like fun.
@dxs Get to it then! No need to credit me, just make it so.
—I’m an answer-er, not a questioner, that’s how I ended up here.—
I’m not afraid of asking questions, just look at some of the questions that I have asked on other people’s questions. It’s just that I was brought onto this site as an answer-er, not as a questioner, and that is how it shall remain. : P
Yeah, I had an off the cuff smart ass answer for the mallet in the kitchen one but noticed it was in General. Guess I’ve been smacked one time to many.
but probably not.
@rojo Maybe that’s what a kitchen mallet is used for.
Removed by Fluther Moderators – and don’t fucking pull that shit again!
^^ if only we could write that :-). Someone would whip us if we did…
“pull that shit again!”
Didn’t know there was a user named @Dung Beetle
