How can a priest convince a man to kill another?

Asked by illusionslies (586points) November 2nd, 2013

Fictionally speaking – Nothing to be taken too seriously. (I am not going to do this myself)

If a priest wants someone killed, and he is in the position of power with a man who confessed to have committed a crime, how can the priest convince him to commit another for personal revenge reasons?

If you are going in for confession wouldn’t the person believe that the priest is some highway to heaven? Couldn’t you just say it and say god told you to tell them to do it?

Use the power of the cultish behavior of the Church and the reward of Heaven.

Hey, these priests can be pretty persuasive with their frocks and their collars, and their choirs and stained-glass windows, wine and crackers, ringing bells, towering spires, confessional booths and constant threats of eternal damnation.

Once, a priest almost convinced me to vote for George W. Bush.

Almost….

Give the pope enough rope & a bar of soap & you have one slippery strangler on your hands.

He said “Close your eyes. I’m going to but my hand on your ass, and want you to just pretend that it’s being done by a famous woman”.

I asked, “What famous woman ?”

“Laura Bush”, he replied.

And that’s how I ended up voting for John Kerry…..

Maybe by getting said potential killer to believe that the man who he wants to be killed is not a man at all, but a demon, or the devil himself.
