Have you burnt off those Thanksgiving calories yet?

Pretty much takes care of itself this question, just answer how you see fit…only if you want to though.

Hmm, five hour time difference, probably still in bed sleeping it off…bless.

Considering I didn’t eat myself into a food coma and I had to go out last night to shovel snow, most likely.

Anyone who is up and functioning right now is probably in the gladiatorial arena that is Black Friday shopping, so they might be burning it off by trying to avoid being trampled.

Ahh of course, Black Friday. That annual riot the greedy shopper just loves…woot!

I am packing for a road trip and should be leaving in an hour or so. I will work hard this weekend on my friends farm in CT – mostly splitting, stacking, moving firewood. I’m sure it will be a turkey and pie fueled weekend.

No Black Friday for me. Ever!

I’m with you on that @LuckyGuy, I have no interest in being a part of Black Friday either. I have been tempted a few years to head just to watch the insanity, but have never bothered to get up early enough to actually do it.

Of course not. And I’ll be eating leftovers today, so I’m just packing more on. The burning starts next week.

Same with me when it comes to xmas, gorge on crimbo dinner & lots of beer, eat like a bastard on Boxing Day & burn off the day after…no better way.

I did walk a mile to try and burn some of it, but that isn’t enough.

I think I slept mine off. It’s 10:30am and I just woke up.

Still on the road and getting a little sleepy. Thank you NY State for the free WiFi.

I ate more carbs yesterday than I had in the previous six months. But I was still full but not disgustingly so. That was at 4 o’clock, and I did not eat anything more until 9:30 this morning.

After a light protein breakfast, I went for a run this morning, a good 2.7 miles around the local reservoir. Weighed myself when I got home, lowest weight all week.

I spend my life burning off calories. I am a exercise junkie.

If you think you’re miserable, check out these guys.

Talk about eaters’ remorse.

Tryptophan migrane doesn’t mix well with exercise.

Thanks to my wife’s apple cobbler leftovers and ice cream…...nope. I’ll be ready to hit the trails tomorrow.

Does eating more food count as an aerobic workout?

YARNLADY's avatar

I sure did. I cleaned up/put away all the left overs while Hubby did the dishes, which involves rinsing them off and placing them in the dishwasher. He also scrubbed two of the baking sheets.

Then I went out to get some warm pants and shirts for my two grandsons, and some supplies for me. I went to a resale shop for the clothes and they were having a wonderful sale, so I bought 6 shirts, 6 pairs of pants, 2 winter coats and two sweat shirts, all nearly new, for $50.00.

Then I headed toward the Target, but cars weren’t even getting into the parking lot, and they were sitting out on the main street waiting to get in, so I went back to the nearby pharmacy and bought my supplies plus a few Christmas decorations that caught my eye.

In between shopping I have to do the laundry because my husband just returned from a two and half week business trip and will be leaving again for another two and a half weeks on Tuesday.

Before that happens, we are spending the weekend plus one day at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and two nights at a nearby hotel which has an indoor pool. This is my son’s anniversary weekend.

Easily. It was just my wife and I, so we had a normal dinner. But there was a special post-Thanksgiving workout at my dojo today built around the assumption that we had spent the previous day overeating.

Now I’m off to finish that pumpkin pie…

cookieman's avatar

I only had one serving of bird, mashed, sweet potatoes, and corn bread stuffing. Not too much to burn.

Man, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah. They warned about this in the Old Testament/Torah. It’s called Carbageddon.

gailcalled's avatar

^^ Or eating leftovers for eight days (six now),

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

^^ Seriously, I really miss those turkey sandwiches—dark meat please—homemade multi-grain bread, coarse black pepper, with mayo and cranberry. I could live a whole Hanukkah on them. Pumpkin and sweet potato pie, god, I’m dyin’ out here.

I hope not I’m signed up to run the Seattle marathon tomorrow (12–1-13).
