Do you know any LDS (Mormon) who is into drugs or alcohol ?

I only personally know one LDS family of six. The gentleman and my ex were colleagues years ago and I got to know the LDS wife but not that well. They were too busy with church matters and kids to socialize all that much. Now they are doing missionary work . Their kids were extremely sweet, quiet and well behaved. I have never heard of an LDS in any kind of trouble except for one man. He told me , “if that’s tea I don’t drink it; I’m Mormon.” Then I found out the police were after him for accepting down payments from people on new barns then disappearing.

Well..I was baptized LDS as a kid but never bought into it.
I drink modestly but still enjoy the occasional wee bit o’ the herbal essence, other drugs no.
I also drink coffee and smoke the occasional cigarette, mostly with alcohol. haha

Yes. A friend of mine was Mormon when I first met him. He drank and “smoked,” and I think his mother imbibed some, and his father liked a little booze and an occasional cigar.

I know plenty who drink and smoke weed on a regular basis. Knew one who smoked crack too.

I managed to go to parawon utah high school. Even the most hardcore Mormons were into drugs and sex. There really wasn’t anything else to do.

edit :: I made the mistake of calling the church a business in the boys locker room since everyone gave 10% of their income to the church. The hits when we played football in PE were unusually brutal.
