Is anyone here using Loopt on the iPhone?

I am using loopt, but yeah useless unless others you know are using it.

I downloaded it, and have putzed around with it a bit, but like you said, it ain’t mo fun if none of your friends are on. I sent some invites over the weekend to friends that have supported carriers, but I don’t know how many of them have a phone capable to run it.

It was one of the first apps I installed on my iPhone 3G and I immediately invited all my iFriends to join. It’s an app with a strong network effect. The more people you know who use it, the more valuable it is.

Ben, Andrew, and I are all using it now. It’s starting to replace Twitter for my status updates.

I just read that Loopt was spamming users’ contact lists with SMS invitations… of course, I can’t seem to find the link now… but if that’s true, I will not be trying it.
