Well…who’s at the top in terms of goals or skills now?

I am going to assume you mean striker and so go with Lionel Messi.

Messi is an expert dribbler and can place the ball perfectly even in the most pressured of situations.

He broke the world record for the number of goals in a season during the 2011–2012 season, scoring 73, and he scored another 60 in the 2012–2013 season. 41 goals, 2013–2014

The funny thing is, Messi is not a striker, or even a centre forward, as is it’s more commonly known.
He is given a free roaming role & often drops deep into midfield or on either wing where his skill creates goals for his team, assists & goals from Messi come in equal measure.
All the more impressive is his phenomenal goalscoring record, considering this factor.
