I was out yesterday at my local park walking. And I found someone’s debit card. I got home called the bank. Closed. I called the 800 # all to tell me…return it to your local branch. I called the local branch explained the situation to them. They said just return it. I said I have no car, can’t I return this card to you so he owner can get their CARD BACK. They guy said it’s better in person.

Oh yea you can tell what I look like by the sound of my voice. I totally forgot that you psychic.

Since it’s a debit card, based upon my experiences, I’m assuming that the card number has already been deactivated. So where the actual card ends up is kind of a moot point since it’s no longer usable.

There has been a time when I misplaced my debit card but I knew for certain that it was in my own home, not somewhere else.

So I just wanted them to send me a duplicate card. Nope. They take absolutely no chances with missing debit cards. My only option was to do without until I found it OR cancel that number and have them send me the new one.

So, at this point in time, the card you found is useless so it doesn’t matter whether you return it or dump it in the garbage. Even if it gets back to it’s owner, they won’t be able to reactivate it. It’s finished.

Too bad the person on the phone didn’t bother explaining it.
