Is there an alien megastructure around this star?

I read this yesterday also. We don’t know what it is yet so they are calling it the WTF star. It would be so fucking cool if it ends up being an alien civilization. (unlikely) That would put our little rock back into perspective. It would also weaken certain power structures that are holding our society back.

I read about it yesterday too but, today I saw the video.
This is interesting. I like science.

Interesting. I saw the article and didn’t open it.
My opinion is that stories like this are generated on a fairly regular basis to keep interest – wonder even – in the space program alive. There’s no harm in it, but there’s no real science either. I’ve seem theories like this that really stuck with me that I tried to follow up on months or years later and there was never any follow-up data.

Finding updates on research is sometimes a struggle.
Hopefully we will get updates on this. I will post updates if, I see them.
They do post research on line to get recognition. I constantly read research and learn much.
Maybe Science Channel will have something.
