How could anyone not love Grizzly Adams? Care to fondly remember actor Dan Haggerty, dead at 74?

Actor Dan Haggerty Has Died at 74

He was such a big lovable guy in Grizzly, and the bear was his perfect co-star.

Appropriately, one of Haggerty’s most recent projects included an appearance in “Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan”, 2013.

He was great in the movie “Elves”.
“A young woman discovers that she is the focus of an evil nazi experiment involving selective breeding and summoned elves, an attempt to create a race of supermen. She and two of her friends are trapped in a department store with an elf, and only Dan Haggerty, as the renegade loose-cannon Santa Claus, can save them. ”

Thanks, @ragingloli.

I’ve not seen any of his movies, so I didn’t include them.

Cancer certainly seems to be taking it’s toll on the entertainment industry, @Coloma.

I have strange memories of watching this when I was a very small child. I always use it as a reference. RIP.

I think I’ve seen you mention Grizzly Adams, @tinyfaery.

I remember we were really disappointed when it was canceled. Seems like it might have been up against a popular show.

He grew up in my neighbourhood, when he was Gene. He left for California before I was born, though. He came back to visit family sometimes and would go out like any body else to the big picnic functions at Badger Park.

That’s funny.
