H is for Hawk - I keep hearing hype, but I also hear from people who hated it. Have you read it?

Haven’t heard of it but have just read a review. Looks interesting. I will buy it I think but probably look for it secondhand

I did read it! I thought it was lovely, personally. Maybe people who didn’t like it didn’t find the details of training her hawk interesting enough or something. It certainly wasn’t action-packed, but it was very emotive and had beautiful prose.
