Is there a way to get rid of the software update pop up box for Apple?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) August 13th, 2016

That white pop up box that tells you there’s a new software update. I always click cancel but it just shows up again a few days later.

There is no option to delete the update from my ipad settings. I heard you can block the server from your router settings or something but I think that just prevents automatic download of the update.

Any advice?

My advice would be to install the update.

Why would you be reluctant to do so?

Ok thank you. I don’t like the constant reminders. I just want to have the option.

Set updates to automatically load if the notifications annoy you.

I set to manual because I prefer to read exactly what the update contains.

I hate the most recent update. Beware
