Are driverless cars like drones, as in no one in the car?

Asked by flo (13313points) September 20th, 2016

Do people who are promoting it generally think that they can read or whatever else? Do most people know they have to keep their hands on the wheel?

Um, no they don’t have to keep their hands on the wheel. They should stay fairly alert, but the car is doing the driving, not the person.

The goal is for there to be no controls within the passenger compartment other than a user interface for inputting destination.
