What one must do to become a drone remote control pilot in the US military?

I’d love to fly one if those sitting in totally different country than the drone itself.

That’s the only remote controlled thing you can think of? What about remote surgery? How come nobody thinks about the positive side of technology? Why is blood and gore this cool?

I have no idea how one becomes a drone remote control pilot but.. Why in the world would you want to have such a profession? Do you realise how controversial those things are? Do you know how many innocent deaths they’re causing in Central Asia? I’d advise you to try for something else less dirty and risky..

you need to be able to apply your skills at blowing up shit and people, in various video games to the real thing, sounds like fun, you could even do it from your bedroom :)
so in short you definately don’t need to be brave.

wow how about instead of attacking the guy we answer his question….

I am in the US Air Force, where we proudly own and operate the Predator as well as what’s called the FPAS. (Another unmanned aerial vehicle).

My suggestion would be to talk to a recruiter. They can be helpful and let u know how to get there, just don’t necessarily believe everything they tell you. ;-)

Follow what you wanna do. You’re serving your country, everyone is quick to complain about the military until something happens (aka 9/11) then suddenly they love us. So you do what you’re passionate about. HUA!

@Achilles some people definitely don’t love you hence 9/11. Ever thought that through? no-one begrudges the military per se, well i don’t, but like any weapon…lethel in the wrong hands, the US military unfortunately, is definitely in the wrong hands
