Can 14 days of homelessness and worry cause my time travel?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24463points) April 29th, 2017

I got locked out of my dorm room at summer 2000 ( when the university was shut down for the summer) for what I thought was 14 days. I remember looking at the stars and the northern lights. I slept during the night in the computer lab or the church sanctuary . I really needed a shower. In the day I waited for the maintenance worker to show up day after day. My mom doesn’t remember me being locked out. It could be when my time travel began around august 25 , 2000. I was very tired and lost mentally. That part of my life is all a jumble with duplicate memories. I remember fighting with my ex-girlfriend’s 7 foot tall new boyfriend several times over the university’s bridge. Once I remember tossing him off the bridge. Another time he tasered me.

That’s not duplicate memory. You were hallucinating i guess.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@imrainmaker Makes sense. I was out of it.

^^ Good to hear that..)

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@imrainmaker Then who did I toss off the bridge? Or did I? Never mind Its in the past. Thanks. It wasn’t very high and was soft grass landing. I jumped off it for fun.

If that was the case cops would have been looking for you. Are they?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@imrainmaker I got in trouble with the cops several months later over my bad brake up with my ex-girlfriend. I don’t think that they are after me.

@RedDeerGuy1 I know you have been open that you suffer from Schizophrenia, don’t you think it’s possible your mind has created these scenarios and has tricked you into believing they were real?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Coloma Yes. It was convincing though. A couple days in the sun and cold could have messed me up. I might have had visions from sunstroke. I am willing to reconsider the whole time travel thing. I’m more leaning towards delusional disorder or multiple personality disorder , that would explain duplicate memories.

Stressful experiences can affect your sense of time. Time is actually pretty subjective. I’m not sure what you mean by duplicate memories however.

Why didn’t you just go home?

Sneki95's avatar

Didn’t you say your time traveling started when you got shot in the head?

In mental illness, there is usually genetic pre-disposition and then there can be triggering events. I doubt that the 14 days homeless brought on your disasociative problems but several traumatic events in your past may have triggered them.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@LostInParadise I was in Camrose and university was starting soon . It never crossed my mind to go home. @Sneki95 I was traumatized many times that caused me to revert to August 25, 2000. Every time I died I went back in time. Being shot was one of them. Every two weeks I had something horrible happen to me. @janbb Thanks.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Sneki95 I gave up every two weeks. The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegitimi_non_carborundum ground me down to the point that I prayed to God for a second chance. Crying while lying down in the bathtub with the hot shower on my head. Then I woke up in the past. Being forced to relive the B.S. all over again with slight improvements. Its been a long time but all the slight improvements are adding up and I am almost totally at peace. I am hoping that my next two weeks don’ t send me back. It’s hell I’m repeating and I don’t want to go back I want to go forward. I can’t just remember lotto numbers and become a millionaire, but I can refuse to play the game and stay indoors and change my fate slightly.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

This is a repeat too. I don’t know when my final two weeks ends. I don’t remember making it to 40 years old. In July 28, 2017 is my 40th birthday.

It could be flashbacks, that cover my whole life In vivid detail. Where I get some understanding to let go of the past. I have a book on dejavu arriving at Sept I hope to read .

The Cognitive Neuropsychology of Déjà Vu Paperback – Sep 12 2017
by Chris Moulin (Author) I hope that his book helps. I will try not to time travel until I have read his book.

@RedDeerGuy1 , So you preferred spending two weeks on the street to going home for two weeks? Something about your story is not adding up. Were other students affected by the closure? Did they also spend their time being homeless?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@LostInParadise I don’t know. I had a psychotic break. I was broke. I wanted to know what it is like to be homeless. Seeing I was a psychology student . The stars where beautiful. I should have asked the international students if I could sleep on their couch. Other than needing a shower I was ok. I slept in the computer lab and played Zmud games online. I really appreciated having a toilet and a warm shower. I ended up being more grateful. I chose to be homeless living on campus. Sorry that I forgot.

I did however lose my key.

anniereborn's avatar

@RedDeerGuy1 How did you eat and drink all that time?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@anniereborn I don’t remember. I was on welfare at the time and had $402. $100 for rent and $302 for food. I had free Boost meal replacement drinks.

You tossed a 7 foot tall cop off a bridge after he tasered you? Yup, the po po will be looking you up, fore shore.

LostInParadise's avatar

What you are experiencing is not deja vu. It is more like ptsd. Have you discussed this with your psychiatrist? If you haven’t, you really should.

MrGrimm888's avatar

@RedDeerGuy1 . Have you started any new meds recently?

Or stopped, or changed dosage of an older med?

MrGrimm888's avatar

Ok. Do you have a case worker, social worker, or doctor you normally talk with? If so, it’s time to schedule an appointment. Maybe they can get you out of this rutt. Your recent rhetoric has me deeply concerned about you.

Good luck brother. Peace n love.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@MrGrimm888 My psychiatrist said that I’m stable and thats all he wants from me for now.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^Cool man.

Peace n love.

@all Update Life is working out, and I have enough food to last till I get paid, every month. My visions still happen, but they don’t hurt anymore.
