Have you ever ordered custom clothing from an online retailer (for example Eshakti) and if so, how was your experience?

Years ago I ordered some men’s dress shirts from one of the custom shirt shops (mail order) in NYC. I never did again.

The tailoring was fine, but the fit was never quite right. I’m tall with long arms, and even their Tall sizes never quite were big enough. My impression was that they were going for the average size person and didn’t really care about anyone who wasn’t average sized.

I have no opinion on women’s clothing retailers.

I ordered a dress from Eshakti last year. As I am both short and fat, finding clothing is a challenge. The dress was perfectly sized for me and very comfortable. As I had no trouble with the dress, I didn’t have to talk to anyone in customer service.
