If he has access to a bank account from a bank which has a branch where you live, call them and see if they allow people to deposit money into other people’s accounts. If so, have him tell you (over the phone is probably best to reduce risk of interception) his account number, then you can go in and make a deposit to his account at the branch.
Other ways:
* Western Union or MoneyGram (immediate, high fees)
* bank wire transfer (takes a few hours, high fees)
* Paypal (7 day delay, fee)
* mail him a check
Check out transferwise.com. The website will quote rates and explain what to do. It is fast efficient and cheap.
I send money overseas and around the USA routinely – and with zero problems, including the problems of currency conversion and fees (I pay none) – via PayPal.
Highly recommended.
Paypal
Cashier’s check
Personal check
Bank wire
