What's a great 20-30 minute exercise CD that I can do at home?

Asked by lilakess (789points) August 11th, 2008

I used to do Tai Bo and that was pretty good, but it was a while ago. I’m wondering if there’s anything new and improved. It would be good if it didn’t take a lot of equipment.

I recently got “Sara Ivanhoe’s 20 min yoga workouts”. They are pretty good and I know there are celebrities that use the same exercise dvds too (not that that should be your motivation). You should check it out. Besides that, I have been doing “Hip Hop Abs” and that’s pretty fun too. As you can tell, I need these kind of things to exercise, I cannot go and run on a treadmill…that’s too boring for me. As for additional equipment, neither require anything extra, but obviously if you get Sara’s “Total Body Weight” program, you will need a pair of weights. that’s about it though. Good Luck.

Check out the P90X work out. It’s intentense! If you try it, get ready to work your ass off! But it really does work.

I do a modified Navy Workout. (Ten Push-Ups, Ten Abs, Ten Jumping Jacks) X 10
I you do it rapidly and without rests then it burns more than a two mile run. This type of workout is effective because it uses different muscles while other muscles can relax.

Try a variety of Abs.

If you can’t make it all the way then try fewer reps each set

If you’re just starting exercising and have been sitting around gaining weight for a few years try Walk Away the Pounds. It’s a great way to get started. I eventually walked in a Marathon and started my 80 lb weight loss with Walk Away the Pounds videos.

Anybody do Tai Bo? I can’t tell from the website if they are 20 minutes. I’d love to know a website where these kinds of videos are rated. I guess Amazon…
