What is something that you like to nerd out on?

Asked by LDRSHIP (1795points) November 1st, 2017

I’ve always liked Star Wars played a good bit of KOTOR 1 and 2 (beat both on light/dark side) and few others as a kid. The recent movies and watching all these lore and theories on who Snoke is and other crazy theories or background on characters among other things. I’ve been super nerdy with Star Wars past while now but I can’t help but find it interesting.

I went to store earlier today and seen these in a 2 pack for 5 bucks. I couldn’t pass it up! Apparently there is a whole collection, normally I don’t buy stuff like this for movies or shows…Stop me now…

@RedDeerGuy1 I’m horrible at math, I often have trouble grasping it. Maybe it’s the teaching method?

@LDRSHIP I gave a link. Its fans making new levels for Super Mario Brothers (NES) Nintendo Entertainment system. For Calculus just skim the surface with different YouTube videos, and don’t sweat the small stuff and you might grasp the basic concepts and then finish off with a slightly deeper level. Don’t look at the equations until your ready.

@RedDeerGuy1 What?? I never heard of this, you mostly build levels or play other people’s levels?

@Sunshinegirl11 You gave me a flashback to my roommate back in AIT like he played that shit out of Skyrim. I’d sleep in on weekend and first thing I see waking up is him playing.

@LDRSHIP You can watch other people play new customized levels , If you buy Super Mario Maker I believe you can make your own.

I like some anime and manga, as well as Pokemon games. At least I think those are the requirements for someone to be called a “nerd”.

Star Wars
Saw the original, at a drive in, the year it was released (1977). I was six years old.

Comic Books
Got my first comic when I was eleven and haven’t missed a month of releases since.

Architecture and Illustration
My mother worked for a publisher for a while. When I was twelve she started bringing home the free copies she would get on Frank Lloyd Wright or copper plate etchings or architectural photography. I devoured them all.

To this day (I’m 46) I still geek out on all these things. They’ve kinda become the basis for my career in a way too.

I have no intention of growing up.
