How many holiday parties are you throwing/attending this year?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37351points) November 17th, 2017

I’m having a party in early December at my place. There will be pupus and drinks of all types, and we will decorate my tree. The buzz of other parties is just starting.

What are your plans?

Only the annual office christmas dinner.

Are you eating your coworkers?

Nope, just surplus steaks from our human meat trade.

So far, none. I am having surgery sometime in the next two months so will probably not be up to attending or throwing a party.

We are attending a fairly large Thanksgiving dinner: 10 adults and one little one.

Wish I could come to yours though. I love tree decorating parties!

None so far but I am gonna be with my granddaughter for Christmas so that’s worth about 10 holiday party invites.

One at my daughter’s MIL’s house next week then on Dec 26 my stepson and his wife and two kids are going to come over for the day.

There is really no way to predict this sort of thing. The events are piling up already, and the annual discussion on which to swat aside has been underway since Halloween. Last night, the family assembled for a big dinner to plot out this very issue. It takes planning to insure that family events receive priority.

There is one in the process of planning. The SO has a slew of relatives that get together a few days after Christmas. It’s impossible to adore how much they love each other.

impossible not to adore?

I had to google pupus… I could get behind that.

@stanleybmanly Thank you. I stand corrected. Some of the family members may side with my original response. ;)
