Has anyone made pemmican before?

I have made many varieties of beef jerky in the past. I want to make pemmican, but it is a whole different thing. Anyone have any experience making it? Any pearls of wisdom for what I should avoid? Any good recipes?

@seawulf575 I watched some videos on YouTube and decided that it was too complicated. If I need I can order from Amazon for a few bucks.
