Why doesn't Crimson FX render my movie?

Asked by Theotherkid (889points) August 29th, 2008

I’m using Crimson FX 1.05 on an intel 10.5.4 mac with quicktime 7.5. When I render the movie it stops at “compressing movie” and then it crashes. Please help!

What are the rest of your computers specs? Because what really matters is HD free space & RAM GB, along with processor power. HD space, because you render it, the file size will be huge & you might not have enough storage to hold it. RAM, because rendering anything requires a lot of RAM to handle the work. Processor power, because, well, rendering a movie is a very heavy work load to ask of a computer. I would recommend something higher than a 2.0 GHz power, to render at a steady/non crashing rate.
