Shoes and boots or whatever is on my feet. I am the disgusting barbarian, so decried on previous fluther threads, that doesn’t take off my footwear on entering my home.

@canidmajor

To each his own. But I will leave you with a couple of thoughts- any kind of outdoor animal shit, and public restrooms.

All of which have been covered in previous threads. I have always had dogs, kids and others charge through my house frequently, no one has ever gotten sick from, nor do I ever lick, my dirty floors.

Right now I am.
Some are downright dangerous. My husband bought me huge foam basketball sneakers that were a challenge to walk in, but they look fabulous. if you’re Bigfoot :)

I wear slippers, thick socks, or I’m barefoot (around this time of year, slippers are most common). I don’t wear regular socks as they tend to wear out much more quickly if I wear them around the house.

I don’t wear slippers because they make my feet sweat. I go barefoot around the house.

Bare feet.

I do on the colder days, when I have to turn on the heat in my house to stay comfortable.

Otherwise, I go barefoot.

Sagacious's avatar

I’m always barefoot in the house unless I’m cold.

All the time. They keep me comfortable. Or good to use just to put on to go outside and check the mail. Nice for sitting in the chair too!

Thick woolen socks

I’m usually in bare feet in the house, because I am almost always warm, even when other people are cold.
