Did the bunny forget you this year?

Asked by stanleybmanly (24153points) April 12th, 2020 from iPhone

I received a joyful card imprinted with a cheerful reminder to update my will. Isn’t it wonderful to be remembered and be assured that others are thinking of you?

And it isn’t exactly true. I’ve never been so pampered in my life.

Yes. To cope I bought a box of both Arrow and Mirage chocolate bars.

I’m the one who does the remembering around here, so I bought thematic treats early in March, before the lockdown. Today I cut out and colored some egg shapes and left Easter candy on top of them at my family members’ places at the table. Must have been expected because no one said anything.

I did think about people who actually let their kids believe in magical nighttime emissaries that bring candies and presents on special dates. Maybe it’s time to tell them the truth?

@Jeruba I am 42 and I can barely handle the truth. I didn’t need to hear the mass unmarked burials of unclaimed bodies of mass graves in New York. S has truly hit the fan. If I had an underground bunker I would head to it now.
I appreciate small victories. Like my pork chop was perfect that I cooked for Easter meal.

No Easter Bunny. Devastation in the land, and in the whole world. Discouragement. No even church this year. Boringest Easter ever.

The Easter Bunny remembered my daughter, who is 12, and she knows it’s mom.

I got to keep the leftover candy. That was good enough.

I am the Easter Bunny

I took a basket for my mom assisted living place. The front desk person came to the door and took it. I felt kind of like the easter bunny, coming and leaving unseen

My wife got me a very nice card. She made a lovely basket for my daughter too. My daughter, in turn, filled two baskets with treats and toys for the doggies. And I got my wife a snazzy blue sweater.

The Easter Bunny (me) ordered See;s chocolates for Easter back in February, when a school fund raiser was passed around at work. They didn’t get delivered. Now i have to see if the check was cashed.

While on a long walk in the woods on Easter morning a Brush Rabbit followed and hopped along side my wife and I. It seemed fearless. I said, “That must be the Easter Brush Bunny”!

I went before lockdown, just got candy and things. And I made a white cake with lemon frosting to feel festive.

Went hiking in the woods. Saw a bunny hopping on a trail. Was not disappointed.

Somebunny leaves babies in the small depressions of my front lawn each spring. I haven’t been out there yet to check for deposits.
