what equipment and software do I need to create video podcasts?

Asked by meslarm (6points) August 1st, 2007 from iPhone

I am on a windows system . I imagine I need at least the following:

- camera
- tripod
- microphone
- video editing software
- sound editing software
- sorenson squeeze
- lots of hard drive space
- notepad for misc production notes

Am I missing anything? I have to do a few for work and need an equipment list. Know of any best practices?

Something in these links might help:

1. Steve Garfield's A Podcast Thunderstorm

2. The Podcast Studio: Basic Equipment

It might also help for you to attend a PodCamp if one will be in your area soon. You'll find a list of upcoming Podcamps on the Podcamp Wiki.

Everything need, included.

Just saw a couple of blogposts today. They're not exactly about equipment, but it may help with your efforts just the same.
