Did McConnell commit political suicide by stalling out the vote on the stimulus check?

People need that money, especially Trump’s supporters.

Never happen. He always knows where his advantage lies.

And I’m sure he doesn’t make a move without knowing where his support is going to come from, who’s with him and who isn’t—and why.

Republicans figured if they okayed the stimulus back in August, there would have been another round in November anyway. He waited until Ted Cruz had money for his fracking billionaire friends, then said it was okay to approve.

He doesn’t care. He was just reelected for six more years. He no doubt will retire then, unless he dies first.

McConnell is one of the slimiest politicians in America.

He puts the 2 Republican incumbent Senators on the hot seat for The upcoming election on January 5th. The only reason the people were granted covid relief the first time, was because of the looming November elections. Now The Republicans believe they can resume the standard doctrine of “pamper the rich.” You know the logic. “How can we keep the stock market roaring if we allow people to hide from disease? Don’t feed em. They’ll come around when the choice is between covid and starvation”.

He said he wanted to see trump’s caveats clearly. One of them is somehing about investigating election fraud. Somemore.

That one’s going nowhere except with the certifiably psychotic wing of the movement and their allies— the irreversibly feeble minded.

Yes. And anyone who agrees with him.

@zenvelo

It was Pelosi who held up the previous stimulus in August, and she proudly admits it, that she was waiting for Biden to get elected,

But is it political suicide for McConnell? I think not, because most establishment Republicans say we can’t afford $2,000 per person.

If you watch what I posted, she is admitting it. She was holding out for Biden.

Snopes has not been an unbiased source for over a decade.

We’ll see Jan 5.

We can always wish. But he’s a career politico, used to screwing the public in true Republican fashion.

McConnell has probably killed any hope for a Republican victory in Georgia. Voters want their $2,000 which the Democrats will approve and the Republicans will not.

(Dec. 31, 2020) He’s should be looking at a recall in his home state right now…

Malignant Mitch will become Meaningless Mitch, if Raphael Warnock & Jon Ossoff win their runoffs on next Tuesday, Jan 5.

I already donated $20 to each of their campaigns. With a Democratic majority in the Senate, hopefully we can get a decent C19 relief package.

….I got a $1200 stimulus deposit into my account. Rick didn’t get anything.
I am so confused.

Yellowdog's avatar

I didn’t get shit.

zenvelo's avatar

@Dutchess_III You might have gotten your joint (you and Rick) stimulus. If your account is the one in the database from your taxes or prior claims, you got the payment as part of a couple.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I considered that @Zenvelo. That’s part of what is confusing me. They gave us seperate checks last time.
A friend on Facebook said he got $2000.

Yellowdog's avatar

Well, at least you didn’t get shit!

Your question is flowering into on the money prediction before our very eyes. I asked it again. It’s more than worth the insult of having it erased by mods. What else can you pull from your crystal ball?

stanleybmanly's avatar

I mean the pressure on Mitch is now extreme, with Republican Senators on the edge of revolt. When you asked this question, I believed Mitch was going to get away with it, but when those $600 checks are exhausted, people will DEFINITELY remember who had the choice and refused to acknowledge their suffering.
