Should I take a shower if was around people who were sick?

Asked by Cindy1302 (806points) February 19th, 2022

I whent to my local church to get tested for covid. You had to have been experiencing symptoms to even get tested, so anyone who was there getting tested had symptoms. It was just me and 2 guys. One of the guys said to the nurse that he thinks he had abronchitits or something. There was another guy there getting tested too. I stayed over 6 feet from both of them. All I did when I came home was change my clothes and wash my hands. Should I have took a shower? I already laid in my bed. Should I wash my sheets too?

It wouldn’t hurt.

You can take a shower and wash the sheets if you feel that way.

Are you really waiting for people across the U.S. and abroad to tell you whether you ought to take a shower?

@Jeruba I have to admit that I chuckled imagining OP holding her phone in front of the shower and pressing refresh.

I would take a shower after that just to feel like I don’t have to worry once in my house. I don’t even like my shirt to touch my face when I pull it over my head.

I’m assuming your test was negative.

@Jeruba is right. Why are you waiting for people across the country to tell you if you should shower? If you want to take a shower and wash sheets do it, don’t ask us.
