I'm looking for mystery/thriller books with trigger warnings on them.

Don’t ask me why. I just found it’s not asked that often on socials. I even found sometimes talking about these triggers smooths out the writing style.

To the best of my knowledge, books are not published with trigger warnings in them. That is something that may be assigned by someone else later. Think about it logically, why would a publisher want to affix a warning that might lower the sales of their books?

@janbb: Maybe in the blurb?

All I can say is, I’ve never seen one. Trigger warnings are usually given by professors in classrooms or on the radio or tv before airing disturbing material.

You are most likely to find information about triggering circumstances in a long, third party review that includes a few spoilers.

Do you need trigger warnings? About what do you need to be warned? When you get triggered, what happens?

I’ve never seen a book with such a warning. Mystery/thrillers seem to be a genre you may need to leave alone, but that’s why I asked the questions.

What kind of trigger warnings? I’ve never heard of that.

I have two friends who write Legal Thrillers. Here’s their websites.

Robin: https://www.robinjamesbooks.com/

Mike: https://michaelstagg.com/

Also, another friend, Declan, I think his novels are considered police procedural thrillers. He (the author) is a retired detective in real life.

I could maybe ask them if any of their books might have a trigger for you, if you tell me your concern.
