Right now, Trump is not running for anything.

Trump is being shunned by the Republicrats. No one wants him around. He singlehandedly lost at least 3–4 seats that the Repos expected him to win.

He’s not running. But I sort of hope he does. Then he can screw up only one state (Florida, which is already screwed up) instead of 50 states.

Nothing to fact check, he is not running for Governor of any state.

Right now, he is only running for Biggest Loser.

Nothing and the only thing that is “running” is his mouth !

No. But most people expect him to announce his 2024 Presidential campaign soon…as in while the Georgia runoff election is still pending, which will reduce Herschel Walker’s chances of winning. Trump similarly sabotaged Georgia’s runoffs in 2020 which gave Dem’s the Senate. The man is electoral poison. His only win was 2016 when he ran against one of the worst politicians in the modern era of politics. Hillary’s net approvals were as low as Trump’s and she was so overconfident she declined to spend money or visit swing states. Her loss was 100% an ‘own goal’ type situation.

But Trump thinks he’s some kind of political genius because the polls missed his 2016 win. And his base seems to agree. The GOP knows he’s poison, but they also know he has a strong control over their base and it’s hard to win primaries if he supports your opponent. So the primary system gives him power he really doesn’t deserve, just like primaries have always made extremists more powerful.

He is not running for anything yet, but he will announce his run for President on Tuesday. He sees as his competition Governor DeSantis, so he is dumping on him. That may be the source of your confusion here.

As a citizeon of Georgia, just waiting for December 6, I am thrilled to vote for Warnock (again!) and against the idiot football player.

Just as a reminder, @Entropy and whoever else: Trump did not win on votes in 2016. Technically he has lost or caused losses in every election since then.

No.

I heard today Republicans have floated the idea of making Trump Speaker of the House, because from what I just heard you don’t have to be a house. Member to be Speaker. WTF&$#%?!! Third in line! I need to look that up.

Most people seem to be saying Trump is done. I’m not talking about Democrats, even though they are saying it too. Democrats have been saying he’s done since January 2017, it’s annoying, but Republicans are now saying the Trump era is looking like it’s most likely over.

Maybe.

I would love it if Trump were done but there are enough people out there who are stroking his huge ego, and that will encourage him to run.

Can we please not have another 80 year old President?

People who say Hillary lost last time need to remember that she won the popular vote (as pointed out accurately by @Jeruba).
