How much is a Sony Bravia worth?

Asked by crunchaweezy (1733points) November 22nd, 2008

I’m looking to sell my Sony Bravia, but have no idea how much to expect. I bought it for around $3,000 last year.

Sorry, had to find more about it.

It’s a 40” LCD. Here is the manual on Sony’s website. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=KDL-40XBR2&region_id=1

It’s got 3 HDMI ports, it’s 1080p and has a glass trim around it.

It’s a year old, and used, so I wouldn’t expect more than 50–65% the purchase price.

So would you say $1750 is a good starting price? Surely you can get a 40” 1080p from Best Buy for 1200, but it’s a “Dynex” It’s also a nice looking tv compared to what’s on the market today for the price.

I’d start at about $1100, you’ll attract far more bidders and likely end up with more in pocket than a higher starting price.
