Care to share how you got certified?

My ex-bf got certified while we were together. He took a course through a local Vocational program and that got him the classwork and clinical time he needed, and the counselors with the program kept them informed about deadlines and what needed to get done for them to earn their certification.

I got certified through the hospital I work at. it was a week of classes including de-escalation techniques and proper nursing procedures.

after the week of classes you needed a week of training within the unit having to get a bunch of things signed off from a preceptor. Then take my paperwork the Maryland Board of Nursing to get officially certified which cost like 20 bucks i believe. and that’s it.

I just got recertified over the summer and i just had to attend a first aid class and a few other simple ones and send them to the board of nursing and they did it online :)
