Can you access Microsoft Exchange/Outlook email on the Google phone?

My boss offered to pay for my data package if I wanted to get a cell phone that accesses my work email. But the iphone is too expensive. The G1 looks awesome, but I’ve heard it doesn’t allow you to get your Outlook email. Has anyone seen a good solution for this problem?

Yeah, but AT&Ts phone plan is too expensive for me. I’d love to have the iphone, but I can’t afford $120 a month just for a cell phone! I’d welcome an affordable alternative.
