I wasn’t overjoyed when they first put in the “lurve” system, but I now find it quite a nice touch, fluther-wise. You can see if you have an answer that was appreciated, you can let someone know that an answer you received was helpful, and also you can see who is relatively new on the site. That allows those of use who have been here a while to be welcoming.
So, welcome. And see what you think about “lurve.”

ps. one of the more interesting features that lurve provides is that people who are new and then peruse older questions can still let you know they are reading and like your answers. Kind of cool, really.

But isn’t it just a second hand emotion?

It seems a little competitive at first, but I use it mostly to tell people that they’re being HILARIOUS.

I like it. I often find myself, when reading other interactive websites, attempting to press a “Great Answer” button that isn’t there because I wanted to show appreciation and support of an answer.
