But we do appreciate it Santa! What’s your favorite cookie? Low carb this year? Non-fat or heavy cream for the milk?

I can’t wait to see you Santa! And if you did honor my present request, please park the Ferrari in the garage and not in the driveway. The garage door opener is hidden in the potted plant next to the front door. Thanks!

Ah Bluefreedom,if you peek you shall not recieve your Ferrari.
So to bed early and you must promise to behave for mom n pop for a whole year, and do the dishes, ironing, walk the dog, vacum the lounge, and wash pops smalls each week.
Still want the Ferrari?

Christmas Eve doesn’t exist in my house. It’s MY birthday! Really, it just gets annoying when people play up some old fat white guy who calls women degrading names. Hello, it’s my birthday.

OK, I’m still bitter about never having a birthday party as a kid and all the presents I was dooped out of as a kid by those who gave a “combo gift.” Now Christmas is about watching my kids freak out when they open their gifts. They know, however, that the day before is strictly reserved for mom.

That’s a lot of chores, Santa, but let me think it over and I’ll get back to you. I have a few days left to decide. It would be VERY hard to pass up the Ferrari, though!

@gimme;
I just had my first grand daughter on Tuesday. I think I’ll celebrate her birthday AND her half birthday, just so she feels extra special ;-)

gimmedat's avatar

@Judi, that’s very sweet. She will appreciate it!

Hey Santa, will these meet with the Mrs’ approval? They are yummy! BTW, you might want to stock up on the coal before sliding down my chimney, the boys have been quite a challenge this week!

I always look forward to Christmas Eve because I spend it with family that I only see sporadically throughout the year. It’s always a warm, fuzzy feeling kind of time.

I personally like the Christmas Season better than Christmas day because all of the shopping, bustle, waiting in line, parties, and having fun. I LOVE opening presents, but I just like the season better. It is all about hope.

I love the slow feeling of Christmas Eve…better than Christmas day : )

cookieman's avatar

I am looking forward to Christmas eve because it is the beginning of my one day off since November 17th.

then it’s back to work on Friday for nine straight days – but hey, at least I get Christmas day off

augustlan's avatar

@cp: What do you do that requires that kind of craziness?

cookieman's avatar

—I’m a graphic designer but it’s not about what I do. Two years ago my wife was laid off and I resigned from the same place because they were falling apart (closing now). I got a great new job, but it pays $12/hour less than what I was making before. All our savings is gone and my wife (while getting a million interviews) is having an impossible time getting a job. Which blows my mind as her resumè is better than mine (went to law school, speaks three languages, etc.)

Anyway, so now I have to work 7 days a week to keep up with the bills. Hopefully someday this’ll change.—

Oops. I was trying to do that in “whisper” mode to respond to augustlan. sorry

augustlan's avatar

I’m sorry you all are having to deal with that…hope things improve soon!

cookieman's avatar

Absolutely. For everyone. Lots of people in similar boats this Christmas.

shadling21's avatar

@gimmedat – It’s my birthday, too. Both the 24th and 25th are special days.

Christmas eve means tamales and turkey – two of my favorite foods!
