What's the best way to share an Aperture library between two users on one Mac?

Asked by Jish (35points) September 16th, 2007 from iPhone

Should I go with an external Firewire 400 drive (I don’t have an 800 cxn), USB 2, or a shared folder? Other suggestions are welcome.

as long as it’s staying on a single computer, use the “shared” folder in the users folder. accessible by all users on that mac.

But the second (non-primary) user is unable to make changes, add, or delete images from the library… I have made sure that the folder and all contents are read/write for all. Any ideas?

weird… well, then, try putting it on an external disk, and select “ignore permissions on this volume” in the get info window for the external disk.
