Sometimes i would like to listen to songs without the lyrics. Is there any way to block the vocals in a song.

a lot of times yyputube has instrumentals of popular songs. just type in the title and either instrumental or karaoke and id say 70% of the time it’s there. even higher chance if it’s a new song

You might try using Audacity and the instructions on their wiki.

@Vincentt – I’ve tried that. it doesn’t work well at all. it KIND of removed them. by that i mean, it lowers the vocals to a weird volume where u hear them but they sound like voices from 1000ft away in a cave. AND upon “removing” the vocals, u also lose ALL sounds that occur in the same frequency range as the vocals. in other words..it sounds bad.

p.s. the process is a little complicated as well

you can get the same effect by plugging your minijack plug halfway in.

I’m not saying it’s a good solution

Maybe someone already did it on youtube.
