Is there somewhere I can get a listing of all concerts happening in New York City?

Asked by TitsMcGhee (8286points) February 25th, 2009

I live in the East Village, mere blocks from Webster Hall, and I manage to miss a number of great shows because I have no idea how to find out about them (ticket master doesn’t count). Is there somewhere I could look? BrooklynVegan is good, but not complete by any means. Suggestions?

how about the New York Times. They’ve got to fill all those pages with something. (I’ve only seen the Sunday edition and it’s pretty big)

download iconcertCal for your itunes…it collects all the artists in your itunes then creates a calendar showing when they are playing in your location.

Www.jambase.com, or check out a local alternative weekly like the Village Voice. Better yet, save some trees and go to their website too.

www.ohmyrockness.com has a great indie show list for nyc – you can sign up for the email list too (no spam, just shows).

Songkick.com and Eventful.com
Sign up and they let you know when someone’s in town and also send you concert updates from your favorite venues.
Also I find that the AM New York and Metro New York, yes, the free newspapers, have listings for smaller venues that aren’t listed elsewhere.
