as much as i bitch about certain bands/artists, i can’t really think of someone i want to deem “the worst ever” or something. my vote goes to miley cyrus and the jonas brothers, but i mean. if i was 10, i’m sure i’d probably like them. most of the reason i can’t stand them is because of a) a lot of their fans and b) the media’s overwhelming obsession with them.
i think for most musicians, even the ones i really dislike, music is a form of therapy for them. and i don’t feel like it’s my place to say they shouldn’t make music. they’re not doing anything to me personally. they’re not affecting me. so i don’t care one way or another. if i don’t like a musician, i just don’t listen to them.

I think if they’re actually making music I can respect that even if it’s not really something I’d bother to follow or want to listen to. If they’re not making music then they’re not making music. They’re just selling (or…um “making available”) CDs.

I like a lot of Yoko Ono’s music, especially some of her late 70s and early 80s stuff.

@cyndyh I am asking this in all seriousnes. Does she sing in it. Because I will admit to judging her only on her singing. And by no means am I judging her as a person.

I recognize that a lot of people don’t enjoy her voice. Yes, that’s her voice singing. I don’t know her as a person, but I do like a lot of her music. It’s moving and emotional and sometimes thought-provoking. I get that it’s not many people’s cup of tea.

I will have to give it another try. I have only heard her sing in the back ground on John Lenon’s stuff.
